British Airways (IATA: BA, ICAO: BAW) is a passenger airline from United Kingdom.

British Airways is headquartered in London and has its hub at London-Heathrow and London-Gatwick airports. Its fleet consists of 257 aircraft, and it travels to 183 destinations. It is the flag carrier of the United Kingdom and is second only to EasyJet as the largest carrier based in the U.K. Its parent company is International Airlines Group. In 2017, it was the first passenger airline with over 1 billion USD from a single route between New York and London.

BA began in 1974 when the British government merged four airline corporations; two of those were regional airlines. Three more airlines were added to the merger by 2012. It founded the Oneworld alliance, which is the third-largest global alliance. BA was the official airline of the Olympic Games in London and flew the flame from Athens to London.

When COVID-19 hit, the Gatwick operations were closed, and BA retired several of its aircraft, including all of its 747-400 planes. Replacement aircraft will include more modern planes like the Boeing 787 and the Airbus A350. BA intends to emit no more carbon by 2050.
