Cathay Pacific (IATA: CX, ICAO: CPA) is a passenger airline from Hong Kong SAR of China.
Founded in 1946, Cathay Pacific (CX) is Hong Kong’s largest airline. It operates from a hub at Hong Kong Airport (HKG) and has designated Taiwan Taoyuan Airport (TPE) and Suvarnabhumi Airport (BKK) as focus cities. Cathay Pacific flies to about 170 destinations in 42 countries within Asia, Europe, Oceania, Africa and North America. It also has codeshare agreements with 20 other carriers. The airline has a number of subsidiaries, including Dragonair (KA), which is a regional airline. Its fleet of 124 aircraft consists entirely of wide-body planes. Classes of service, which vary depending on each plane’s configuration, include First Class, Business Class, Premium Economy Class and Economy Class. Cathay Pacific is a member of the Oneworld Alliance.
