Velana International Airport (VIA) is the main international airport in the Maldives. It is also known as Ibrahim Nasir International Airport, in honor of the second President of the Maldives. Velana Airport is located on Hulhulé Island, a few kilometers away from the capital city of Male. It serves as a gateway to the Maldives for over 5 million passengers every year, making it one of the busiest airports in South Asia.
The airport has three passenger terminals: Domestic Terminal 1, Domestic Terminal 2 and International Terminal 3.
