INDIA. Mumbai Duty Free has partnered with Bollywood star Shah Rukh Khan to launch its latest promotional campaign, ‘Mumbai Duty Free is NOW free’.
To mark the launch of the campaign, the star gave out pairs of free cinema tickets to Mumbai Duty Free customers for his latest film ‘Jab Harry Met Sejal’. The campaign is also offering free movie merchandise and signed posters.
For the Mumbai Duty Free is NOW free campaign, Mumbai Duty Free has partnered with downtown brands to give an “unbeatable value proposition”. Customers who spend a certain amount at the retailer’s stores will receive a Mumbai Duty Free is NOW free envelope. The envelope contains discount vouchers, redeemable coupons and complementary experiences from partner brands which the customer can use towards purchases in India.
“These value add-ons together equal to or total more than the purchase value. The customer effectively cancels out the cost of their duty free purchase,” said Mumbai Duty Free.

For the first edition of the promotion, the retailer has partnered with Mumbai film production company Red Chillies for a chance to win movie tickets and meet the stars of Jab Harry Met Sejal. It has also teamed up with tour operators for exclusive discounts on travel bookings, roaming providers, lifestyle shopping brands for online shopping vouchers, luxury malls and banks for cash back promotions.
