Asiana Airlines (IATA: OZ, ICAO: AAR) is a passenger airline from Republic of Korea.

Formerly known as Seoul Airlines, Asiana Airlines (OZ) was founded in 1988 and is one of South Korea’s two major carriers. It is a member of the Star Alliance, and a major owner of low-cost carrier Air Busan (BX). The airline operates from hubs at Seoul Gimpo Airport (GMP) and Seoul Incheon Airport (ICN). Asiana flies to about 110 destinations in Asia, Europe, Oceania and North America. In addition to Star Alliance members, the airline has codeshare agreements with about a dozen other carriers. Its fleet of 73 passenger aircraft includes planes configured with a single Economy Class cabin, as well as two- and three-cabin configurations with First Class and Business Class cabins.

Asiana Airlines Inc. As a member of Star Alliance, it operates 14 domestic and 90 international passenger routes, and 27 cargo routes throughout Asia, Europe, North America, and Oceania. As of December 2014, the company employs 10,183 people. The majority of Asiana’s pilots, ground staff, and flight attendants are based in Seoul. Asiana Airlines is the largest shareholder in Air Busan, a low-cost regional carrier joint venture with Busan Metropolitan City. The airline also holds 100% share of Air Seoul, a subsidiary and its own low-cost carrier. Asiana is also currently an official sponsor of the South Korea national football team and The Presidents Cup 2015.
