This airport’s name reflects its proximity to the ancient city of Carthage. It has two asphalt runways that are 3,200 meters and 2,840 meters long. The number of passengers that passed through the gates in 2014 was 5.1 million, and it sees flights from over 25 airlines, including seasonal carriers, moving across its tarmac.

TUN opened in 1920 when it was first used for seaplanes, and in 1938, over 5,000 passengers flew to and from Paris annually.
