Oslo Airport in Norway is getting a brand new Heinemann Duty Free Store today which was unveiled by Travel Retail Norway.
The new store is in the North Pier of the airport and replaces the old Heinemann store which was in the East Pier. The new store is 550 sqm bigger than the old one.
Heinemann executive director Raoul Spangler said: “It was quite a challenge to sort the lighting and the ventilation. It is 10 or 12 metres to the roof and you can’t just hang lights on the ceiling.”
Travel Retail Norway CEO Håkon Fjeld-Hansen added: “This is making me very enthusiastic. We always need to develop our concept. What I see is we need to have more products approaching the millennials and make sure our shops are exciting.”
