SOUTH KOREA. Lotte Duty Free has partnered with French beauty and wellness brand L’Occitane to raise KRW34.5 million (US$30,000) for the Seoul Green Trust in celebration of Earth Day on 22 April.
A donation ceremony was held at Lotte Duty Free’s flagship branch in Myeong-dong, Seoul this week. It was attended by Lotte Duty Free Head of Marketing Lee Sang-jin; Lotte Duty Free Head of Product Department Lee Young-jik; L’Occitane General Manager Ahn Seon-hee; and Seoul Green Trust Executive Director Lee Han-ah.
The donation was the result of a customer-participation campaign hosted through March at L’Occitane’s Myeong-dong boutique in the Lotte Duty Free store.
The mechanism involved customers generating a donation of US$1 for every purchase of L’Occitane’s flagship product, Shea Butter Hand Cream. An impressive 30,000 skus were sold during the period.
