Dufry meets demand for duty free and duty paid at Phoenix Airport

US. Dufry-owned Hudson Group, in partnership with Dufry Phoenix Retailers JV, is preparing to offer passengers at Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport Terminal 4 both duty free and duty paid options after it was recommended for the contract earlier this year.

The sole duty free operator at the airport, Phoenix Duty Free stores will be located pre-and post security. The new contract spans two stores over 195sq m and covers categories including wines & spirits, tobacco, perfume & cosmetics, fashion accessories and confectionery for duty free.

The duty paid store will offer the same products with the exception of wines, spirits and tobacco.

Featured fragrance brands include Chanel, Clinique, and Estée Lauder and Lancôme. Whisky, Cognac, wine and Champagne will form the high-end liquor assortment.

“Hudson Group is honoured to be a part of Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport’s T4 retail renovation,” said Hudson Group President and CEO of Dufry North America Division CEO Joseph DiDomizio. “As the Traveller’s Best Friend, we look forward to providing passengers with a diverse duty free and duty paid retail offering, while continuing to deliver world-class customer service.”

Phoenix Director of Aviation Services James E Bennett said: “Our goal as America’s Friendliest Airport is to provide our customers with a variety of choices.

“Customer feedback has shown us that travellers want the ability to purchase both duty free and duty paid products. These new stores will further complement our retail programme to meet our customers’ needs.”

Hudson Group currently operates Hudson, Fire CZ and Bunky Boutique stores at Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport T4.
