Harry Reid Airport (IATA: LAS, ICAO: KLAS), is an airport serving the Las Vegas area in United States. This airport has four concrete runways between 2,740 and 4,424 meters long, and it saw 39 million passengers and 486,540 aircraft movements in 2021. Normally, it handles 50 million annual travelers. It has two terminals with 108 gates and five concourses.
The original LAS eventually became Nellis Air Force Base, and by the time the new LAS opened in 1948, it was already serving several airlines. The 720s were the first jets to fly into the airport in 1960. As the gambling industry grew, so did the airport, and by the 2010s, it had upgraded runways, another terminal and people movers to take passengers from the terminals to the gates on three tram lines. It changed its name from Las Vegas Airport to Harry Reid International Airport in 2012.
There is long- and short-term parking, valet parking and economy parking in over 17,000 spots. Some parking lots require a shuttle ride to the terminal. Ground transportation includes taxis, limousines, ride share and rental cars.

Try to get an early morning flight out of McCarran, as it would help you avoid the crowds. The restaurants in the terminal are limited and overpriced. However, a lot of retail stores to browse before the flight. The terminal structure also allows for a good flight spotting session before your flight. Overall, the experience was thrilling and hassle free.”

McCarran is always semi-organized chaos simply because the sheer volume of people and planes going in and out of there 24 hours a day. It is easy to get around and the food options are plentiful. Security is fairly smooth even when it is crowded.”

Upon our arrival first, the immigration took a good 45 minutes, with only 6 lanes out of about 25 being open. Shocking when considering a arrival from Korea and UK had happened. On departure, secuity lanes took a very long time as well, but once airside, a wide choice of eateries and shops available (at least in T3), cheap duty free, not so cheap restaurants.”
