CHINA. German writing instruments specialist Lamy has opened a new store at the Mixc Shopping Mall in Haikou, Hainan. It opened last month under plans by Lamy to target growth in travel retail, with a focus on the Chinese market.
The 40sq m store – in collaboration with the brand’s local distributor Energetic Asia – is Lamy’s second point-of-sale in China travel retail, and its first monobrand shop in the channel. Lamy opened its first travel retail outlet in the country earlier this year at Shanghai Hongqiao Airport.
