Washington Dulles International Airport is located in Chantilly, Virginia, and serves the greater Washington D.C. area. It is the busiest airport in the region, with more than 23 million passengers passing through its gates every year. The airport was built in 1962 to replace National Airport (now Reagan National Airport) and named after John Foster Dulles who served as Secretary of State from 1953-1959.
