Paris Orly Airport (IATA: ORY, ICAO: LFPO), is an airport serving the Paris area in France. Scroll down or click here to see what Paris Orly Airport shops, bars, restaurants, cafes, and facilities we have in our Duty Free Information 2024 Database. Currently in our database we have information on 51 shops, 13 cafes, and 7 restaurants at Paris Orly Airport. If you believe this data is out of date or incorrect in any way, please contact us and we will get our team of researchers to correct our data.

This airport has three runways; there is a 2,400 meter and a 3,320 meter concrete runway, and the other is a 3,650-meter bituminous concrete runway. Over 15.7 passengers moved through the airport’s four terminals in 2021, which is down from the 35 million passengers it normally sees. It is a seasonal destination for many travelers from places like Athens, Casablanca, and starting in 2022, Miami, Florida, U.S.A.

ORY started as a secondary airport in 1932, and it was captured in 1940 by the Germans and used as a combat field. The USAAF took over the airport after the Battle of Normandy. Because they destroyed it to stop the Germans, the U.S. made repairs to the airport.  The airport was returned to France in 1947, and when France withdrew from NATO, the Americans left the airport. After 1958, nonstop flights to New York were routine.

Spots are plentiful for long- and short-term parking, as well as motorcycle and drop-off parking. Ground transportation includes trains, buses, shuttles, cabs and rental cars.

What airlines operate passenger services out of Paris Orly Airport?

The following airlines all fly passenger services out of Paris Orly Airport:

Paris Orly Airport Reviews

★★★☆☆
Pretty good and fast airport. I don't care about the design of Paris airports, I just use these airports to leave France. I can find everything easily and you make all check in procedures quickly. The boarding room has big plate glass windows with a direct view on the plane areas. Globally, I'm not disappointed but also not satisfied.
- Jean-Sebastien Grondin

★★★☆☆
A bit confusing to get through, very crowded and cramped. We took a lot of time to find the way for the Orlyval monorail. Bagage claim took a bit and all services were more expensive than those of OPO. I prefer CDG despite being located further of Downtown Paris.
- Nuno R de A Graça

★★★★★
One of the easiest airport to go around in Europe, if not in the world, has free wifi, perfect view of the ramp and the runways for the spotters, facilities of all kind available, what more to expect from an airport? i always elect ORY rather than CDG when possible as it's much closer to Paris and easier to access via public transport.
- Mehdi

★★★★☆
Paris Orly Airport offer a good service and also, have a really good one Wi Fi conecction, that is always a plus to a traveller solo like me, whilst I was needing to keep checking information about next destinations, and also, try to do some further check-in to next flights.
- Francisco Carmona

★★★★☆
Very easy airport to get around. Very easy yo get to by taxi, faster and closer than Charles de Gaulle airport. Staff is nice, airport is clean and food is good. Air conditioning was not working when I was there.
- toto rock

★★★★☆
Very good airport. Not very beautiful, a bit old. Well connected. Easy to reach. Security controls are efficient; the lounge is good; the gates are numerous. The airspace is not very big. Is a mid-size airport located South of Paris, ca 30 km.
- Simone Rizzi

★★☆☆☆
Whether or not Orly is easy to reach depends very much from where you are in Paris. If you're close to one of the RER lines B or C, it is okay (though neither of the lines goes to Orly Airport directly, while Charles de Gaulle has a direct RER connection). In most cases, you will have to change once or twice to get to or from Orly, which is a mess if you have luggage. (Especially if it involves a metro trip, with the turntiles in your way, a lot of stairs going up and down etc.) The airport itself felt crowded and stressful to me. The terminal building (South) does not follow any clear architectural line so that orientation is not always easy even though the building isn't huge. Often, fundamental walking paths like entrances to the building or the ways proceeding to security check seem like some sort of hidden secondary tracks where you are not really supposed to be as a passenger. All parts of the airport chronically lack seats. If ever you manage to get one of the few seats, it will still be noisy, crowded and hectic all around you. The check-in process (for Air Berlin, handled by the local contractor) was painfully slow. The counters opened no second earlier than 2hrs before departure. No separate counter for bagage drop-off was available, so even though I was checked in, I had to wait in line. It took the person at the counter 35 minutes to check in the 8 passengers waiting before me. The lines at the other counter didn't go any faster.
- Jean-Pierre Teitinger

★★★☆☆
- Francois-Marie Perrin

★★★★☆
Very big airport although its the 2nd airport of Paris. Its a little unorganized and dirty at some of the places. Thankfully its very near Paris. Some of the staff were stupid and some of them were nice and helpful
- Albanian Flyer

★★★★★
Easiest airport to get to, and most practical one in the Paris area. Free Wifi available and pretty good facilities. Lounge is OK.
