Bacardi Global Travel Retail has partnered with Dubai Duty Free for the latest release in the Exceptional Cask Series of rare, limited edition special finish aged single malts.
Aberfeldy 19yo Exceptional Cask Small Batch (pictured above) is blended from four rare casks from the cellars of the Aberfeldy distillery, which was founded in 1896. The small batch whisky has been selected and crafted by Malt Master Stephanie McLeod.
One of the whiskies spent its entire maturation period in an ex-sherry cask. The other three, after spending 15 years in refill casks, were then placed into Oloroso sherry casks for four years of additional maturation.
Aberfeldy 19yo is being introduced this month at 13 Dubai Duty Free stores across Dubai International. It is presented in special edition packaging, including bottle numbering, that celebrates its exclusivity at Dubai International.
Bacardi Global Travel Retail said it wanted to attract both single malt connoisseurs and collectors as well as new generations of adult whisky drinkers.
One of the sherry casks used in the ageing process will be displayed in an in-store sales presentation in December, as travellers will be able to discover more about the “craft, texture and aroma” of the process.

Bottled at 43% ABV, the 70cl Aberfeldy Exceptional Cask 19yo Sherry Finish is presented in a gift pack with a RRSP of US$150.
