Queen Alia International Airport (QAIA), located in Amman, Jordan is the largest airport in the country and serves as the main hub for Royal Jordanian Airlines. Opened in 1983 to replace the older Civil Airport of Amman, it is named after Queen Alia, the third wife of King Hussein of Jordan and mother of his successor, King Abdullah II.
The airport consists of two terminals: Terminal A which is for international flights, and Terminal B which handles domestic operations.
