Safe Bag strikes seven-year contract at Rio de Janeiro International Airport

BRAZIL. Luggage protection and tracing services company Safe Bag has struck a seven-year agreement to provide its services at Rio de Janeiro Tom Jobim International Airport (RIOgaleão).

This follows a trial period in Q4 2017. The contract runs from the start of this month. RIOgaleão handled around 16 million passengers in 2017.

“We are very proud that, after a test period, the airport of Rio de Janeiro has selected us as its long-term partner,” said Safe Bag CEO Alessandro Notari. “It allows us to continue pursuing our long-term development strategy in South America that started with our win at Lima Airport.”

RIOgaleão Head Commercial Leandro Dantas said: “As RIOgaleão has become an airport with international standards, we have to make sure the passenger can count on high-quality options. Knowing that Safe Bag has the expertise for this kind of service in airports all around the world, we are proud and happy to bring the company to work with us. This is one more step towards offering the tourists the best alternatives in terms of globally recognised services.”
