Qatar Duty Free brings luxury British brand Penhaligon’s to Hamad International

QATAR. Qatar Duty Free (QDF) has opened a Penhaligon’s artisanal perfume boutique at Hamad International Airport.

It is the luxury British perfume house’s first boutique opening in Qatar.

The brand was founded in London in 1870 and is known for its signature ‘profiling’ service, which explores customers’ personal preferences and helps them select the right fragrance.

The 15sq m boutique at Hamad International features a range of Penhaligon’s products, including its latest fragrance collection Portraits.

Qatar Duty Free Senior Vice President Luis Gasset said he was delighted to see an “iconic British brand” open. “We have brought Penhaligon’s all the way from London, giving passengers the ability to experience the unique aromas of these remarkable fragrances,” he said.

“The boutique not only celebrates the diverse and unique heritage of Britain, but also shows our continuous efforts in ensuring that passengers are given a luxurious shopping experience whenever they visit Qatar Duty Free.”

The store was designed by British architects Al-Jawad Pike and is fully bespoke. All fixtures are hand-crafted, including illuminated floor to ceiling shelving and a signature Georgian-inspired geometric patterned floor, comprised of three different types of stone.

Penhaligon’s has previously opened at travel retail locations such as London Heathrow, Dubai International, Paris Charles de Gaulle, Rome Fiumicino and Nice Côte d’Azur airports, as well as Korean downtown duty free stores.
