Etihad Airways to keep inflight shopping service in-house

Etihad Airways has decided to keep it’s inflight shopping service in-house after debating whether or not to outsource it. Last June they had started a process to consider outsourcing the service and had invited companies to submit their proposals.

A spokesperson from Etihad Airways had this to say: “Following the review we took on our inflight duty free offer during 2016, the airline will be keeping the service in-house but we are continuing to explore ways to grow the service both commercially and for the benefit of our passengers.”
