Dublin Airport calls tenders for electronics and pharmacy store concessions

IRELAND. Dublin Airport has called a tender for its airside consumer electronics contract, currently managed by Dixons Travel. At stake are two stores, one each in Terminal 1 (195sq m) and Terminal 2 (80sq m).

In 2016, T1 electronics sales were around €6.08 million, while in T2 sales were €5.18 million, from a combined footprint last year of 207sq m.

The contract will run for five years. The bid deadline is 17 November.

In related news, the Dublin Airport T2 pharmacy store concession is also being tendered. The 205sq m airside space generated around €4.56 million in sales last year.

The new concession will also carry a five-year term, with a submission deadline of 1 December.

One other current tender at Dublin Airport concerns the supply, management and operation of a vending machine concession across both terminals.

The machines, located both airside and landside, can offer a mix of confectionery, hot and cold snacks and hot and cold drinks.

The bid deadline is 1 December.
