Design brand kikki.K opens first European airport store at London Gatwick

UK. Design brand kikki.K has opened its first European airport store, at London Gatwick.

The 25sq m Little Boutique stationery store is located in the airport’s North Terminal and features kikki.K’s ‘kiosk-style’ design.

The brand was founded in Australia by Swedish-born entrepreneur Kristina Karlsson and aims to offer the best in Swedish design.

Products from kikki.K’s ‘Energise Your Life’, ‘Own Your Story’ and ‘Inspiration Collection’ ranges are available at the store. These include journals, gifts, accessories and greeting cards.

A travel essentials collection of leather passport holders, luggage tags, travel wallets and travel journals is also available.

Products can be monogrammed for passengers in-store. The brand noted that pre-flight shoppers would not have to worry about fitting purchases into their hand luggage. Gatwick’s ‘carry on-board’ service allows them to bring a kikki.K shopping bag onto their flight alongside the pre-existing hand luggage allowance.

Gatwick Airport Head of Retail Rachel Bulford said:

“We’re very excited that kikki.K has chosen Gatwick as the home of its first ever airport boutique in Europe. As a distinctively high-quality design brand with a global following, kikki.K fits in perfectly with the wealth of quality retailers in Gatwick’s busy international departure lounge.

“Our passengers can expect a one-of-a-kind experience in this fabulous new boutique as they visit Gatwick in the weeks and months to come.”

Kikki.K founder Kristina Karlsson added:

“It’s so exciting to see more and more of the UK fall in love with kikki.K, and we’re absolutely thrilled to be sharing our products with guests in Gatwick Airport’s North Terminal.

“As one of London’s busiest airport terminals, Gatwick is an ideal location for a kikki.K Little Boutique. Travellers can enjoy our world-class guest experience, and shop our gorgeous range of curated travel accessories, stationery and gifts for friends and family.”
