Bremen Airport calls tender for “creative and ambitious” dining or event concept

GERMANY. Bremen Airport has issued a tender for a food & beverage outlet or event concept opportunity at Bremen Hall, which is located on the airport terminal roof.

The 870sq m space offers views across the apron to the runway. Bremen Hall is home to the original Junkers W33 aircraft, the Bremen, which undertook the first transatlantic flight in 1928 from Europe to North America.

Bremen Airport said it is looking for a “creative, ambitious concept” from an operator who will rent the property long-term. The airport added that it plans to establish Bremen Hall as a permanent fixture in the restaurant or event landscape in the northwest of Germany.

The space could be used as a gourmet or fusion cuisine restaurant, a cocktail bar, dance club, a sky spa or aviation world of experience, Bremen Airport noted. Ideas could also include an outdoor rooftop area.

A detailed announcement and invitation to submit a tender will be sent to all who have expressed their interest to Flughafen Bremen (Bremen Airport) by 30 September 2017.

Informal Expressions of Interest should be sent either by post or e-mail to:
