In these challenging times with air cargo volumes currently being down all over the world, Liege Airport (IATA: LGG) is going against the trend.
It has recorded its best month in its history – almost 82,675 tons (84,000 tonnes) in October 2019 – bringing the volume up to 718,470 tons (730,000 tonnes) for the first ten months of 2019 with two peak months to go.
Besides being the highest monthly volume October 2019 also showed its highest import volume ever, making up 51% of the total.
On a European level the freight market has been falling for ten months in a row, however Liege Airport has so far recorded a year-to-date growth of 3%.
