OMAN. Leading foreign exchange specialist Travelex has been appointed as foreign exchange services concessionaire at the new Muscat International Airport, which is expected to open in October. The five-year contract covers four stores at the new terminal, which will serve up to 12 million travellers a year.
Travelex Chief Commercial Officer Stephen O’Donovan said: “We’re proud to have a presence in Oman and excited to support the continued growth in this region. Oman represents a gateway to the Middle East, which is an important region for Travelex’s global strategy.”
Travelex has been the foreign exchange partner at the existing airport for 12 years, working with Ajit Khimji Group, whose Managing Director Rishi Khimji said: “In Oman our partnership with Travelex is over a decade old and is built on shared values of trust, excellence and customer service.
