Swiss International Air Lines (LX) is the country’s flag carrier. It was founded in 2002 after Swissair declared bankruptcy and is a subsidiary of Lufthansa. The carrier has a hub at Zurich Airport (ZRH) and has named Geneva Airport (GVA) as a focus city. A member of the Star Alliance, it also has codeshare agreements with 23 other alliance and non-alliance airlines.
