CHINA. Offshore duty free stores in Haikou reopened this morning (9 August) after a 24-hour closure due to the COVID-19 outbreak in Hainan.
As reported, the Haikou stores run by China Duty Free Group, GDF Plaza and Shenzhen Duty-Free Group/DFS Group were all forced to close temporarily from yesterday morning (8 August).
Local authorities continue to battle the COVID-19 outbreak on the island,with most cases to date in Sanya to the south, which means that the stores there run by China Duty Free Group, CNSC and HTDF remain shut.
