Panama City Tocumen International Airport (PTY) is the main airport in Panama, located roughly 18 miles from Panama City’s center. The airport serves as a hub for Copa Airlines and is the main gateway for travelers heading to and from Central America. The first terminal at PTY was built in 1947 as a single runway facility with two hangars on either side.
