Lublin Airport is an international airport located in the city of Lublin, Poland. It serves as the hub for several major airlines such as LOT Polish Airlines and Wizz Air. The airport was first opened in 1938 with a single runway, but since then it has been greatly expanded and now boasts two paved runways and a modern terminal building.

The airport is situated just 10 kilometers from the center of Lublin, making it easily accessible by taxi or public transport. The terminal building contains all the usual facilities that one would expect to find at an international airport including check-in counters, duty free shops, restaurants and bars. In addition, there are several car rental agencies located within the terminal so travelers can easily get to their destination.

Lublin Airport also has two airline lounges available for passengers who want to enjoy a more luxurious experience while they wait for their flights. These include the Aspire Lounge which features complimentary snacks and drinks as well as free Wi-Fi access, while the Priority Pass lounge offers additional amenities such as massage chairs, complimentary food and drinks and newspapers in various languages.

Security at Lublin Airport is taken very seriously with an extensive security force on hand to ensure that travelers remain safe throughout their journey. This includes body scanners for all passengers traveling through the airport, random bag checks at designated areas around the terminal building and trained dogs helping to detect drugs and explosives. There are also regular patrols of armed officers throughout the terminals who monitor any suspicious activity 24 hours a day.

Lublin Airport acts as a major gateway not only into Poland but also into Eastern Europe due to its strategic location near many popular European destinations such as Berlin, Vienna and Budapest. The airport handles up to 4 million passengers every year travelling both domestically within Poland but also internationally outside of Poland’s borders thanks to its extensive list of airlines operating out of Lublin including Ryanair, Lufthansa and Norwegian Air Shuttle among others.

In addition to providing numerous flight services out of Lublin Airport, several foreign tour operators have based their offices within the airport’s grounds in order to provide visitors with easy access to local tourist attractions throughout Eastern Europe including Auschwitz Concentration Camp or Krakow Old Town Square. With close proximity to fabulous attractions like these it doesn’t come as much surprise that Lublin Airport continues to remain one of the top tourist destinations in Eastern Europe today despite its somewhat small size compared with other larger airports in nearby countries such as Germany or France.
