Lublin Airport is an international airport located in the city of Lublin, Poland. It serves as the hub for several major airlines such as LOT Polish Airlines and Wizz Air. The airport was first opened in 1938 with a single runway, but since then it has been greatly expanded and now boasts two paved runways and a modern terminal building.

The airport is situated just 10 kilometers from the center of Lublin, making it easily accessible by taxi or public transport. The terminal building contains all the usual facilities that one would expect to find at an international airport including check-in counters, duty free shops, restaurants and bars. In addition, there are several car rental agencies located within the terminal so travelers can easily get to their destination.

Lublin Airport also has two airline lounges available for passengers who want to enjoy a more luxurious experience while they wait for their flights. These include the Aspire Lounge which features complimentary snacks and drinks as well as free Wi-Fi access, while the Priority Pass lounge offers additional amenities such as massage chairs, complimentary food and drinks and newspapers in various languages.

Security at Lublin Airport is taken very seriously with an extensive security force on hand to ensure that travelers remain safe throughout their journey. This includes body scanners for all passengers traveling through the airport, random bag checks at designated areas around the terminal building and trained dogs helping to detect drugs and explosives. There are also regular patrols of armed officers throughout the terminals who monitor any suspicious activity 24 hours a day.

Lublin Airport acts as a major gateway not only into Poland but also into Eastern Europe due to its strategic location near many popular European destinations such as Berlin, Vienna and Budapest. The airport handles up to 4 million passengers every year travelling both domestically within Poland but also internationally outside of Poland’s borders thanks to its extensive list of airlines operating out of Lublin including Ryanair, Lufthansa and Norwegian Air Shuttle among others.

In addition to providing numerous flight services out of Lublin Airport, several foreign tour operators have based their offices within the airport’s grounds in order to provide visitors with easy access to local tourist attractions throughout Eastern Europe including Auschwitz Concentration Camp or Krakow Old Town Square. With close proximity to fabulous attractions like these it doesn’t come as much surprise that Lublin Airport continues to remain one of the top tourist destinations in Eastern Europe today despite its somewhat small size compared with other larger airports in nearby countries such as Germany or France.

Lublin Airport Reviews

★★★★★
Nice, local airport, with quite good flight connections (Lufthansa, WizzAir, Ryan, EnterAir). Very close to the centre of beautiful, live, vivid city, which Old Town dates XIV century. Transport via train (to Lublin Central train station), shuttle bus (central bus station) or city buses. Official taxi corp. with decent fares.

Lotnisko Lublin/Swidnik ma bardzo mało połaczeń. To minus. Lepiej startowac z innego lotniska. Obsluga srednia. Musza sie jeszcze sporo nauczyć. Mieszkam w Krasniku mam blizej do Świdnika ale chyba nastepnym razem wybiore lotnisko Rzeszów - wiecej połaczeń i o wiele lepsza jakość obsługi. Ogólnie to lotnisko LUZ mi sie za bardzo nie podoba. Dziala kilka miesięcy dopiero. Z londynu bedę jednak wracał lecąc do Rzeszowa.

Airport Lublin empty, lifeless. 2 flights per day. Why build such airports with EU money. I regret that I visited Lublin because the city dirty and dangerous. Neglected buildings and a lot of strange people think of Russia. With the Lublin there are no flights to the EMA !!! (only London). I had to return home via London. In the meantime, while waiting visited the Chelm and Zamosc. I could from there return to Rzeszow or Warsaw because I got straight to the house quickly but unfortunately before I bought the ticket from Lublin. Chelm and Zamosc are beautiful in contrast to Lublin so I do not regret that I went almost at the Ukrainian border. The beautiful nature and historical sites. Lublin generally advise against but Zamosc and Chelm is a must visit. The best highway number four from Krakow to Rzeszow and then already near.

★★★★★
The best airport in East Poland, everything is close at hand. Airpot is close to beautiful medieval Lublin downtown (about 20 minutes ride) with many transport options (city bus, shuttle bus, taxi and train arriving directly from airpot terminal to Lublin main station). Airport is near Lublin expressway bypass. Terminal is clean&cosy, customs is trouble-free and service is very helpful. Airport gets new routes every year (Wizzair base from September 2015). Keep it up Lublin!

★★★★☆
Excellent little airport with everything you need - even a train that connects it to the city and stops right in the terminal building! Not too many shops but that's expected since this a pretty small airport that just recently opened.

Born and raised in Lublin. Traveled around the world but this airport is the worst I have ever visited! Security check are crazy and unpleasant. I never had check like this before nowhere else in the world been asked to take of my shoes etc.

Airport is nice, the only problem was with security check - it was too much exact. They were checking all bags twice, they made a mess in my things. Never saw something like this.
