Ryanair has announced that its iOS app now supports Apple Pay, providing customers, families and business travellers with even more ways to book and pay.
To date the app is been downloaded over 12 million times.
Ryanair customers with Apple Pay accounts now have an easy, secure and private way to pay for their Ryanair flights using Apple Pay, ensuring even faster bookings, mobile boarding passes and multiple in-app features.
Ryanair spokesman Robin Kiely said:
“Apple Pay is at the cutting edge of mobile payment technology, easy to set up and makes paying for Ryanair flights even easier for consumers. We are now pleased to offer our customers this innovative payment option which is transforming mobile payments, providing even more ways for consumers to book Europe’s lowest fares on the Ryanair app.”
Apple Pay is easy to set up and users will continue to receive all of the rewards and benefits offered by credit and debit cards.
In stores, Apple Pay works with iPhone SE, iPhone 6 and later, and Apple Watch.
