There is one 2,162-meter asphalt runway that saw 18.2 million passengers and 142,000 aircraft movements in 2019. It has one two-story passenger terminal that has undergone many renovations and expansions over the years. LTN is a hilltop location with a 40-meter drop-off at the end of the runway. It was opened in 1938, and RAF used it during WWII. It houses executive jets for corporate travel, as well as is a home for charter flights. The 1980s and 1990s saw a decline in passengers, and the airport needed upgrading. A new terminal was added in 1998, and by the 2000s, the airport had transferred ownership several times. In 2018, a redevelopment project was started to increase capacity by 50 percent for a total of 18 million annual passengers.
Parking includes long- and short-term places, as well as priority and disabled spots. Ground transportation includes buses, rail, taxis and rental cars.
