Porto Αεροδρόμιο (IATA: OPO, ICAO: LPPR), είναι ένα αεροδρόμιο που εξυπηρετεί την Porto περιοχή σε Portugal. It has one asphalt runway that is 3,480 meters long and one updated modern terminal that offers 22 gates, several air bridges and 60 check-in counters. It is the second busiest international airport in Portugal moving 13.1 million passengers through the gates in 2019. 2017 was the first time 10 million passengers were served.
OPO opened in 1945 and was originally named Pedras Rubras Airport after its location at Pedras Rubras, which means ‘red rocks’ in English. It was built on the rich soils that brought forth cereals when it was used as an agricultural area. In 1990, it was renamed after a former Portuguese prime minister, Francisco de Sá Carneiro.
Transportation to and from the airport includes buses, the metro, taxis and car rentals from major car rental services. Shopping, food and drink can be found throughout the terminal.
