USA. Ontario International Airport has continued its strong recovery momentum in June, serving more than half a million passengers. This represents a rise of almost +8% measured against the same month of 2019 and is the fourth consecutive month the Southern California gateway has exceeded pre-pandemic passenger levels.
The airport served 514,000 total passengers last month, almost +20% more than June last year. Domestic travellers totalled 496,691 in June, increases of +10% and +18% compared with June 2019 and 2021, respectively.
In the first half of the year Ontario International recorded 2.6 million passengers, some +2.6% higher than H1 2019 and +60% more than in the same period last year. Domestic travellers, who continue to drive the airport’s resurgence, totalled more than 2.5 million across the period.
