Kona at Keahole Airport is the main airport serving the Kailua-Kona area of Hawaii’s Big Island. It is located just north of Kailua-Kona on the western side of Hawai’i and serves as a hub for interisland travel. In addition to direct flights from major US destinations, it also offers nonstop service to Honolulu International Airport, Maui’s Kahului Airport and Lihue Airport on Kauai. The airport has two runways, one with an asphalt surface and one with a gravel surface. There are multiple car rental services available in the arrivals hall. Ground transportation options include taxi cabs, shuttles, limousines and public buses. Amenities at the airport include restaurants, shops and a wellness center.
