São Paulo–Guarulhos International Airport (GRU) is the busiest airport in Brazil and Latin America. Located 23 km northeast of downtown São Paulo, it serves domestic and international flights to more than 35 countries. GRU is owned by the Brazilian government, operated by Grupo Infraero, and regulated by the National Civil Aviation Agency (ANAC).

GRU has two terminals – T1 and T2 – and four runways. With a total area of 4,600 hectares, GRU is one of the largest airports in South America in terms of size. It also functions as a hub for Gol Airlines, LATAM Brasil, Azul Linhas Aéreas Brasileiras and Avianca Brazil. In 2019 alone, the airport handled nearly 48 million passengers.
