John Wayne Airport (JWA) is a commercial airport located in Orange County, California. The airport serves the city of Santa Ana and the surrounding areas, such as Irvine and Costa Mesa. It is named after the famous actor John Wayne, who lived in nearby Newport Beach. JWA is a major hub for domestic flights, with more than 10 million passengers traveling through it each year.

The airport was originally opened in 1919 as the Orange County Airport and has since undergone many expansions and upgrades. Today, it boasts three terminals and two runways, one of which is over 11,000 feet long – making it one of the longest runways in the United States. JWA offers nonstop service to more than 30 domestic destinations across the country as well as multiple international destinations including Mexico City, Tokyo-Narita, London-Heathrow and Vancouver-YVR.
