This airport changed its name in 2021 from the Orlando Melbourne International Airport after they were sued by Orlando to change the name. It has three asphalt runways and one terminal with plans to expand.
MLB has been a cow pasture, a fueling station, an airmail stop and a Naval Air Station during WWII. Until 1967, it was considered a municipal airport with limited scheduled flights. By 2010, there were a few non-stop flights to cities like Charlotte, NC. The airport is home to an annual air show, an airport museum and is a tourist destination for those who want to visit The Kennedy Space Center, board a cruise line at Port Canaveral or go to Walt Disney World in Lake Buena Vista, Florida.
