Coccinelle revamps Milan Malpensa store; opens boutique at Naples Airport

Coccinelle has re-opened its 70sq m Milan Malpensa Airport Terminal 1 store and opened a new 40sq m boutique at Naples International Airport.

Both stores feature the brand’s refreshed store concept which is said to welcome customers with relaxed discretion. The design of Coccinelle’s refreshed store concept explores the space with a minimalist approach made up of ‘unique’ touches of interior decoration, including fabric-effect wallpaper, stone floors and brushed brass finishing on the wall.

Coccinelle said the new store concept aims to give the sensation of a fluid and refined environment

Coccinelle said all these details have been carefully studied to highlight its bags and accessories in “a fluid and refined environment, suffused with gold lights”.

Coccinelle has further strengthened its Europe travel retail business with a second opening at Zürich International Airport and other openings at Hamburg, Oslo Gardermoen, Dubrovnik and Minsk airports.

The brand has also added to its worldwide travel retail business with openings at Taipei Taoyuan, Astana, Cairo and Amman Queen Alia airports.

In the cruise channel, Coccinelle is present on MSC Crociere cruise ships in the Mediterranean and has partnered with Starboard on additional Costa Crociere cruise ships in Asia and on Royal Caribbean, Sky Golden Era and Dream Cruises.

Coccinelle Head of Global Travel Retail Emanuele Mazziotta commented: “Despite the current situation worldwide, where terrorist attacks and the macro-economic and political instability in different regions are jeopardising the overall travel retail business, 2017 has been another busy and prosperous year for  Coccinelle. We had 20 openings around the globe in the first nine months: boutiques, shop-in-shops and corners in Italy, Germany, Switzerland, Croatia, Egypt, Jordan, Kazakhstan, Taiwan and on cruise ships.

“Europe, where Coccinelle is based, is always a very important region for the brand where we want to further strengthen our presence. We thank all our partners for all their efforts and support for these openings.”

Every bag in the Spring/Summer 2018 collection is said to put a woman’s needs and wants first

At TFWA World Exhibition, Coccinelle will reveal its Spring/Summer 2018 Collection (Bay Village, Bay 1A). The line, called Face of Nations, is described by Coccinelle as “a story of journeys and experiences, a portrait of freedom and independence, a melting pot containing just one ingredient: the world”.

Colours, nuances and prints are said to offer a gentle, unexpected femininity and lightness while pastel suedes and two-tone lace details bring an air of romanticisim. The collection moves away from Coccinelle’s leather comfort zone and features new materials.

All designs in the Spring/Summer 2018 Collection are said to have function before form.
