The Sarasota Bradenton International Airport (SRQ) is a public-use joint civil-military airport located in the Sarasota and Manatee counties of Southwest Florida. It is a regional hub for both business and leisure travel, serving direct flights to major hubs across the United States, Canada, Mexico, and Europe. Furthermore, SRQ also serves as a base to support air ambulance operations, corporate aviation services, and flight schools.
As of 2018, SRQ was reported to be Florida’s fastest growing airport after being recognized for its consistently high passenger traffic over the recent years. The airport has even earned the prestigious Airport of the Year Award from the Florida Airports Council twice in 2017 and 2019.
