Thai Airways to bring Airbus A350 to London route

Thai Airways has announced plans to introduce the Airbus 350 onto its non-stop, double-daily London-Bangkok route from September 18th.

The new aircraft replaces the B777 THAI currently uses for its overnight TG917 service and will work alongside the A380 the airline has used for its TG911 daytime departure from Heathrow’s Terminal 2 since 2015.

Carrying a total of 321 passengers in two classes – 32 in Royal Silk Class and 289 in economy Class – the new aircraft sees cutting-edge technology combine with ergonomic design to ensure maximum passenger comfort.

Royal Silk Class customers will enjoy 21-inch wide seats that recline a full 180 degrees, greater personal space, extra-large overhead lockers, fast Wi-fi and a 16-inch personal touchscreen.

Economy passengers will enjoy 18-inch wide seats, Wi-fi and smartphone connectivity and an 11-inch screen featuring movies, games and music.

Nonthakorn Trakulpa, general manager, Thai UK & Ireland, said:

“The advanced air management system, precise temperature settings, lower air pressure and superior sound proofing that feature on this aircraft mean passengers will be kept as comfortable as possible during their flight. The spacious cabin, breath-taking panoramic windows and computer-controlled LED ambient lighting also show that THAI remains totally committed to its reputation for providing premiere customer service in the skies.”

Four other A350s are also being introduced on Thai routes this year, bringing the total in active service across the Thai Airways International fleet to seven by October 1st, 2017.
