New South Wales-based Regional Express (ZL) is an Australian regional carrier that was founded in 2002. It operates from bases at Adelaide Airport (ADL), Melbourne Airport (MEL), Sydney Airport (SYD), Townsville Airport (TSV) and Cairns Airport (CNS). Regional Express flies to about 55 destinations in New South Wales, South Australia, Victoria, North Queensland and Tasmania. With 49 aircraft, it has the world’s largest fleet of Saab 340 planes. Each is configured with a single Economy Class cabin. Seats with extra legroom (known as Rextra) are available at an additional cost.
