By 1973, the runway had been expanded from 2,590 meters to 3,535 meters long. During the 1990s and 2000s, there were attempts to build another runway, but the plans never went through. There have been several terminal upgrades throughout the years, so not all of the renovation plans have failed.
Parking options include long- and short-term parking, motorcycle and bike parking and meet and greet. Ground transportation includes taxis, shuttles, ride shares and public transportation.
