Pittsburgh Airport Reviews

★★★☆☆
TRANSIT
- James Hedding

★★★★★
Nice airport, depressing how much of it isn't used.
- Ryan Fletcher

★★★★★
Pittsburgh is a great airport. It's a shame that there are not many flights anymore, though. There is free Wi-Fi throughout the terminal. You connect to the network, then go to the web browser and accept the terms and conditions, and you're good to go! Pittsburgh has two security checkpoints, one of which is somewhat hidden and always has MUCH shorter lines. Near the escalator to the regular security, on the side near the United Airlines check-in, you will see a sign for the "Alternate Security Checkpoint", along with whether it is open. BE ADVISED, if you have TSA Pre-Check, you should use the first class line at the REGULAR CHECKPOINT, you will not receive the benefits of Pre-Check if you use the Alternate Checkpoint.
- Hale Knox

★★★★☆
Nice and relaxing regional airport, with friendly staff, plus reasonable waiting times for security check, free Wi-Fi. Average variety of food services, relatively limited shopping - if that's of interest for anyone... No lounge for United, which is a bit of a disappointment.
- Zoltán Magyarics

★★★★★
Perhaps the best airport on the East Coast, PIT is sadly underused. Fortunately that means the security lines are short, the parking is ample and the food selection is well above average for the size of the field. Although the facility is now just over 20 years old it is clean, well maintained and user friendly. The design was intended as a maor airport hub but serves the purpose of a medium sized airport. Wish the place had better connecting service.
- Tim King

★★★★★
Sadly underused, but as a hub and in current state, easy to navigate airport with many shopping and dining choices. A joy to fly through PIT. Clean restrooms and pubic facilities. Parking rates for as low as $8.00 per day. Hotel on site.
- Phil Raub

★★★★★
Regardless of what Doug Parker thinks about it, Pittsburgh International remains one of the best airports in North America. Easy Interstate access from downtown, comfortable waiting areas and shopping and dining options that put many larger airports to shame. Some airline is missing out on a great hub or focus city.
- Tim King

★★★★★
Remains the best airport on the East Coast. Few delays, security lines reasonable. Someone is going to wise up one of these days and put a hub or focus city tag on this place again
- Tim King

★★★★★
Still the best airport on the east coast by a wide margin. Had lunch at Bar Symon which come highly recommended.
- Tim King

★★★★★
Some day some airline will figure out the true value of this airport and put a hub or focus city here.
