“Meaningful experiences”: Estée Lauder and Expedia team up to celebrate the beauty of travel

USA/INTERNATIONAL. Estée Lauder and travel site Expedia.com have announced a new collaboration in which customers have the chance to win a dream holiday.

The initiative marks the first time that beauty giant Lauder has partnered with a travel brand.

Customers have the opportunity to visit one of the many destinations that inspired the Estée Lauder North America Spring 2018 gift-with-purchase collection.

Lauder said the collaboration aims to provide customers with a “new and exciting” way to experience its beauty products.

The Estée Lauder Spring 2018 gift-with-purchase programme is inspired by Founder Estée’s love of travel and the destinations that inspired her colour collections. The programme captures the essence of eight travel destinations, including Morocco, Bali and Capri. Customers who purchase a qualifying product will receive an exclusive printed cosmetic bag combined with a selection of best-selling product samples.

Estée Lauder North America Senior Vice President General Manager Lisa Sequino said: “We are thrilled to work with Expedia on this exciting initiative. As a brand, we are committed to creating meaningful experiences for our customers and this collaboration allows us to offer a unique opportunity combining beauty and travel.”

Expedia Senior Vice President and Head of Retail Gary Morrison commented: “At Expedia we know that travel is such an enriching and integral part of life, which is why we strive to help people get away and see the world.

“We’re excited about the opportunity to collaborate with Estée Lauder because of our shared desire to offer customers the chance to experience, and be inspired by, the beauty of travel.”

How to win a dream trip

Now through 13 May 2018, customers could win a trip of a lifetime to one of eight exotic destinations. To enter each contest, customers should visit any participating department store retailer in the USA and Canada to receive an exclusive gift from Estée Lauder, free with a qualifying purchase of US$37.50/ C$48.20 or more.

Consumers should then share an original selfie of their dream trip destination make-up look on Instagram with the hashtag #esteexexpediacontest along with the contest’s unique hashtag, for example #flymetobali, #flymetopalmbeach. Lastly, entrants should tag @esteelauder and @Expedia to enter to win. Customers can also enter the contest by submitting an e-mail to each contest, for example FlyMeToBali@estee.comFlyMeToPlamBeach@estee.com.
