Lihue Airport (LIH) is located just 2 miles from the center of Lihue, Hawaii. It serves as the main airport for Kauai and is a major hub for inter-island flights to other Hawaiian Islands. The airport covers an area of 1,019 acres and has two asphalt runways: Runway 4–22 which measures 8,008 feet long and Runway 17–35 which measures 4,721 feet long. There are three terminals at LIH: Main Terminal A; Internaional Terminal B; and, Commuter Terminal C.

The Main Terminal A is the largest of the three terminals and handles most of the domestic arrivals and departures. It has a combined 18 gates for both boarding and disembarking passengers, four security checkpoints, an information desk, and concession stands. The International Terminal B is dedicated exclusively to international flights with nine additional gates available for international travel. Finally, Commuter Terminal C serves as an intermediary terminal between Hawaiian Airlines’ inter-island flights and Main Terminal A or International Terminal B.
