Over 35 airlines come and go from this destination. Most flights are tourist-related. They have two terminals with one terminal capable of handling 6 million annual passengers.

ACE grew from a need for a connection to other islands and the mainland, so in the 1930s, they built an airfield and the Junkers Ju 52 was the first plane to land on the new airstrip. A passenger terminal was added in 1970 when the airport opened to international and domestic flights; it showcases a mural by famed local artist, César Manrique. A new terminal was added in the 1990s, and the old terminal was converted into a museum of aviation history.

There are over 1,200 enclosed parking spaces separated by inter-island flights and combined domestic and international destinations. Ground transportation includes buses, taxis and car rentals.

Lanzarote Airport Reviews

★★★★☆
Buena terminal, un poco pequeña pero acogedora
- Mingo

★★★☆☆
fast through customs

★★★☆☆
Quite an easy airport to get to and to navigate through. Check-in was quick and pleasant but security staff are absolutely appalling and are horrible to every passenger without exception. Airport gives you 15 minutes of free Wi-Fi before you have to pay exorbitant rates to stay online! Restaurants and cafés in the airport are decent but nothing special. Baggage arrives on carousel quite quickly after you disembark the aircraft.

★☆☆☆☆
Excellent - as usual for Terminal 2 Due to lack of Public Transport from Uga, forced to drive & pay €11.20 per day parking On return at 21"30, no lifts or traverators funcyioning in Terminal 1, where I must go to access car. Am a person with reduced mobility, and this caused much difficulty to me!

★★★★★
Being English, it was easy getting to the airport ( just got on the coach from hotel! ). Lots of shops, and great view of apron which was busy in May. However, check-in was quite slow, and security too. Very Good airport for a small island

★★★★★
Lanzarote is a great holiday destination with a great Airport, Nicely placed to the Capital, Arrecife and some other cities/towns, Puerto Del Carmen and Playa Honda. Perfect airport service and facilities.

★★★★★
One of the best Airports, very nice, very modern and spacious, a little confusion with the gates and flight but nonetheless it's one of the best Airports.
- Aero Flight

★★★☆☆
To depart from ACE is always a poor experience looking at the extremly unfriendly, arrogant security staff !!!

★★★★★
A pleasant airport where it is quite easy to kill a couple of hours waiting for your flight to board. The only rather worrying experience was whilst waiting to take off, we were third in the queue and the pilot informed us that we were due to take off to the South, but everyone was having to wait on a Ryanair flight that had taken it on itself to land FROM the South...despite all other flights having arrived from the North! There must have been a reason, but I was always under the impression that ATC had the final say, not the pilot!
