Lagardère Travel Retail opened it’s new commercial area at Rome’s Fiumicino Airport this week, with it’s 1,850sq m Aelia Duty Free store being the pick of the new stores.

Dag Rasmussen, Chairman and CEO of Lagardère Travel Retail said: “We are extremely pleased to reinforce our historical partnership with Fiumicino Airport and to demonstrate the relevance of Lagardère Travel Retail’s strategy to develop a global offer covering all the segments of the Travel Retail business – Duty Free, Travel Essentials and Foodservice. When we entered the airport late 2012, we saw significant growth opportunities. We grew sales significantly since that time, thanks to a very good collaboration with the AdR team. The inauguration of these new shops today marks another milestone in our relationship”.
