Kualanamu Airport is a large, modern international airport located in Medan, Indonesia. It is one of the busiest airports in Southeast Asia and serves as a hub for multiple airlines operating in the region. The airport covers an area of 2,800 hectares and consists of two main terminals, a cargo terminal and a support facility.

Kualanamu Airport was officially opened in 2013, replacing Polonia International Airport as the primary gateway to Medan. The airport has been designed to meet IATA’s Level 4 requirements for international airports and can handle up to 12 million passengers per year. It also features 24 boarding bridges, 224 check-in counters, 72 immigration points and 84 security checkpoints. Additionally, Kualanamu Airport has over 6,100 parking spaces available for vehicles with easy access to major highways.

The airport offers both domestic and international flights by various airlines such as Lion Air, Garuda Indonesia and AirAsia. Some of its popular international destinations include Singapore, Kuala Lumpur and Bangkok while its domestic routes serve cities around Indonesia like Jakarta and Surabaya.
