Guylian marks 50th anniversary with duty free-exclusive Master’s Selection

Belgian chocolatier Guylian is marking its 50th anniversary with a duty free-exclusive Master’s Selection of pralines.

The new line, in premium red and gold packaging, will be presented at the TFWA Exhibition and Conference (Mediterranean Village P13).

Master’s Selection: Celebrating Guylian’s 50th anniversary

The gift packs are available in two sizes – 240g with 36 mini pralines and 134g with 20 mini pralines – and offer 12 flavours, including Coffee Cardamom, Ginger-Lime and Caramel with Costa Rican pineapple.

Guylian Managing Director Mieke Callebaut said: “We are a company that focuses on innovation and strives for a superior taste sensation. The new Master’s Selection flavours originated out of the creativity of our Master Chocolatiers. They combined the best Belgian white, milk and dark chocolate with refined fillings based on nuts, fruit or spices to give a sublime twist to authentic flavours.”

Guylian was established in 1967 and takes its name from its founders, Guy and Liliane Foubert. The brand is known for the Sea Shell-shaped chocolates it created as a souvenir for tourists visiting the Belgian coast. According to Guylian, Foubert developed the signature hazelnut praliné filling and his wife gave the chocolates their shape and marbled exterior.

The Master’s Selection is presented in premium gift boxes

Guylian products include chocolate truffles, bars, individually-wrapped Sea Horses and Chocolate Coated Fruits. Guylian is available in 120 countries and in 75% of duty free stores globally.
