Visitors to Frankfurt Airport can now preorder duty free products online and have them delivered to their address in Germany. The new scheme is a joint venture between Heinemann and Fraport. To qualify for the service, you need to have a valid flight ticket from Frankfurt and the destination must be a country within the EU. You can preorder up to 90 days before the flight, but the delivery address must be within Germany.
If you do not want home delivery (or do not qualify for it), you can still pre-order your products and pick them up at the airport.
Raoul Spanger, Executive Director Retail and HR at Gebr. Heinemann, explained the scheme: “The joint venture makes it possible for us to react jointly and optimally to future developments in the international travel retail market and to the changing needs and demands of travellers, including in the area of e-commerce”.
