Diageo and TRG Duty Free open spirits boutique at Dallas Fort Worth Airport

Diageo Global Travel has opened a luxury spirits boutique at the new TRG Duty Free store at Dallas Fort Worth International Airport Terminal D.

The 400sq ft space was opened in partnership with DFASS Group, CBI Retail Ventures, MDT Strategic Ventures and Charles Bush Consulting. The store was designed, produced and implemented by design agency Bloommiami.

The TRG Duty Free store is the largest airport duty free store in North America, measuring some 19,000sq ft

The Diageo space features a central sampling station which showcases the company’s latest products. Travellers can learn more about Diageo’s brands via interactive video screens and wall displays.

A range of Diageo’s spirits brands are available to purchase, including Johnnie Walker, Buchanan’s, Baileys and Captain Morgan.

Design elements include a mesh ceiling, consisting of copper coils combined with laminate beams, which also functions as a sculptural piece. The boutique also incorporates the use of white illuminated text, a new design technique from Bloommiami.

The white illuminated text, a new technique developed by Bloommiami, includes quotes such as “Discover your favourite flavour” and “Selected by the world’s best bartenders”

Diageo Global Travel Americas Commercial Director Marcos Bibas said: “We are delighted to offer travellers at Dallas an interactive shopping experience that explores the rich history and pioneering spirit behind our much-loved brands. I would like to thank our partners at DFASS Group, CBI Retail Ventures (CBIRV), MDT Strategic Ventures and Charles Bush Consulting for their help in making this collaboration a reality.

“Dallas Fort Worth is an integral international travel hub in North America with 67 million passengers travelling through the airport last year alone. This demand of passengers has welcomed new investment in the airport’s systems and construction, making it a prime location for the first Diageo airport retail experience in North America.

“The store’s luxury features are designed to offer new and existing passengers the opportunity to discover and try our award-winning spirits, so they have all of the information they need to purchase the right brand for them.”

The DFASS Group President Jon Potash added: “We have enjoyed a strategic relationship with Diageo which has reached its most recent pinnacle with the realisation of this tremendous project. As such, we are extremely proud to partner with Diageo Global Travel to open the first Diageo airport retail experience in Dallas Fort Worth International Airport.

“We are dedicated to providing our consumers with engaging shopping experiences in a luxury environment and this stunning retail space in Dallas Fort Worth realises this aspiration. It’s a fantastic addition to the airport’s concourse.”
